Lancaster University has been ranked in the top five of all UK universities for its graduates’ success in getting jobs or going on to further study.
Newly released official data show that an overwhelming 97.6 per cent of Lancaster graduates are either in employment or further study three and a half years after graduating.
These latest figures form part of the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Longitudinal survey which has been published by the Higher Education Statistics Agency.
Around 107,000 graduates from UK universities, who obtained their first degree in 2012/13, were polled in the study.
The study showed that more than four out of five (83.1 per cent) Lancaster graduates are in work three and a half years after graduating, and 14.5 per cent of Lancaster graduates are undertaking further study.
Louise Briggs, Director of Employability, said: “We are delighted to celebrate this result with our graduates. As a University we work hard to develop holistic workplace skills and offer a host of opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience during their studies, which enables them to engage successfully in the world of work upon graduation and to manage their own subsequent career development.”
