Pathway Programmes

English language:

The pre-sessional English Language courses vary in length, ranging from 30 weeks (Course A), 20 weeks (Course B), 10 weeks (Course C), 6 week pre-sessional course for all programmes (Course D) and 2 weeks (Course E). It is possible for students to enter the programme at the beginning of each course providing they have achieved the minimum IELTS score (or equivalent).

International Foundation Programme:

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a one-year course designed for high-calibre international students who have successfully completed 12 years of school education, and therefore need an additional year of study to prepare them for entry to their chosen degree at Loughborough University. The International Foundation Programme enables progression (provided criteria are met) to a wide range of competitive degree courses at Loughborough University, including business and economics, science, engineering, psychology, sport science, human biology and social science.
As a student on the International Foundation Programme you will receive the support of our dedicated International Team and be taught by highly respected Loughborough University academic staff. You will also be a fully-fledged Loughborough University student with access to all the facilities and support services the University has to offer. Merit based scholarships worth up to 100% of the tuition fee are available for certain courses. Students will be automatically considered for scholarships upon application.
* Students will need a further £3,500 – £6,000 to cover expenses such as food, books, clothes, insurance, laundry, entertainment, travel within UK etc. Travel to and from home is not included. The above prices should cover additional costs for an undergraduate living in fully catered halls for 32 weeks and a postgraduate living in self-catered halls for 50 weeks.
