Variety of Courses

Every one of their 800-plus courses is designed to help students hit the ground running. The University offers a whole range of flexible study options, as well as foundation degrees, HND courses, two-year fast-track degrees, distance learning and Continuous Professional Development for employees.

  • One of a handful of institutions to pioneer new two-year, fast-track degrees.
  • The University’s UK partners, which include the National Design Academy and local colleges making up the Staffordshire University Regional Federation(SURF), are responsible for delivering a wide range of Staffordshire University higher education awards to a further 4,600 students.

 

Campus Facilities

Location

Located between Birmingham and Manchester, the campuses of Staffordshire University are split between four locations in Stoke-on Trent, Stafford, Shrewsbury and Lichfield. The region is close to the beautiful Peak District National Park – ideal for walking and cycling and the towns themselves boast excellent sports facilities, cinemas, theatres, restaurants, historic buildings and nightlife.
Stoke-on-Trent
A vibrant, multicultural city, Stoke-on-Trent is located approximately halfway between Manchester and Birmingham. Also known as the ‘The Potteries’ the area has been world famous for pottery and ceramics for over 300 years.
Excellent sports facilities are available locally. Premiership football team, Stoke City, play at the Britannia Stadium and Port Vale FC play at nearby Vale Park. The city’s theatres stage hit Broadway shows and big names from comedy and music. A short distance from campus, you will find good value supermarkets, as well as the Potteries Shopping Centre with over 90 top stores and an excellent indoor market.
Stafford
The county town that gave Staffordshire its name, Stafford dates back to 700BC. The town centre has big name stores, well-established local shops and an indoor market. Stafford also has historic cobbled streets, good restaurants and a wide choice of cafés.
A wide range of sports and leisure facilities is available at the town’s leisure centre and the local theatre stages a selection of plays and productions. Stafford has beautiful parks and gardens and every July comes alive with street theatre. One of the finest Tudor houses in England can be found in the town and the annual ‘Shakespeare Under the Stars’ event takes place at Stafford’s 900-year-old castle.
