The University of Bath is a campus university, with student residences, teaching buildings, library, faith centre, restaurants and cafes, Students’ Union, shops, banks, sports centre, theatre, and medical and dental centres all on campus.
We are in the top three safest campuses in the UK according to the THE Student Experience Survey, and have won safety awards including the Police Secured Environments Award.
Our Departments have state-of the art facilities including; brand new purpose-built psychology observation labs, sub-sonic wind tunnel, rolling road dynamometer, Applied Biomechanics Laboratory with motion capture suite, a Nanofabrication Facility amongst many others.
Students have access to the extensive sports facilities on campus like our Olympic swimming pool; tennis, squash and badminton courts; athletics track; astroturf pitches and indoor sports halls.
Our arts centre, The Edge, is a dedicated arts, education and events space. Completed in 2015, its facilities include a 220-person capacity arts theatre; purpose-built studio space; three arts galleries and digital, music and fine art studios. It offers a wealth of opportunities in music, art, dance and theatre.
The campus is located just on the edge of the World Heritage City of Bath – one of the most interesting, elegant and vibrant cities in the UK, home to a range of excellent museums and galleries, parks, restaurants, cafés and pubs and a great range of shopping.
